Introduction to barge navigation (4h) - GPH

Afternoon of discovery of barge navigation in the company of two professional skippers.

On the program: 4 hours of activities
Welcome and introduction of participants over a coffee
Learning the main knots and practicing throwing moorings
Visit of the barge Gaïa and the engines room, discovery of the gear
Departure in navigation from Port Canal Montauban towards the Tarn (~2h of navigation in a wild environment, in particular in the company of the fishing birds of the river: herons, birds of prey, kingfishers…)
passage of locks from the wheelhouse in the company of the captain
Getting started with the "macaron" and the control unit (accelerator)
Participation in maneuvers (lockages, drops, moorings, swings, etc.)
Friendship drink on the sun deck of the barge once it is moored.
Digital photo report provided at the end of the session.
