Day 1 - Arrival in Montauban and visit of the city
We welcome you to the Port Canal de Montauban where you can park your vehicles in the closed and video-monitored parking lot of the port. After boarding the Péniche Gaïa and taking possession of your quarters, a tour of the city center will be offered to you in the company of Nicolas Périé, owner of the barge, who will be your guide and will make you discover the secrets of the city of Ingres. A mini-cruise on the Tarn River with a cocktail dinner aboard our small lounge boat Daphné will complete the visit.
Day 2 - Montauban -> Montech
9:30 a.m. Departure from the Port Canal de Montauban under the command of our Captain and breakfast under way served on the sun deck by our sailor.
Possibility of a stopover at the restaurant Chez Gabriel , located in an old lock-keeper's house and with a beautiful shaded terrace.
Resumption of navigation upstream towards Montech. Those who wish to do so will be able to take control of the "macaron" (wheel of a river self-propelled boat) and pilot the boat under the supervision of the Captain.
3:30 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. Arrival at the Péniche Hôtel de Montech pontoon
Free time. Possibility to walk in the pretty village of Montech or to visit the Montech Water Pente Museum , (unusual structure designed to short-circuit a chain of 5 locks and allow the passage of boats of the "Freycinet" gauge), accessible on foot or by bike only 1.3km from the boat.
Evening meal at Bistrot Constant, a real institution set up in a former canal guardhouse and now run by Chef Christophe Marque. If you feel like it, you can even compete in pétanque on the establishment's bowling alley!
Day 3 - Montech -> Castelsarrasin
Full breakfast prepared by our sailor at the time of your choice.
If it's a Tuesday or Sunday, it's market day in Montech. You can therefore choose a gourmet picnic to enjoy before or during the cruise to Castelsarrasin.
Possibility of tasting local cheeses and wines as a meal with our partner Laurent from the Fromagerie de Montech .
Departure by boat at the latest at 2:30 p.m. and descent of 8 locks. Possibility of disembarking in certain locks to walk next to the boat in a sector with very close locks or to do a little cycling.
6:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. Arrival at the Port Canal of Castelsarrasin.
Tea, coffee, herbal tea and soft drinks are available at will during your stay on board. A wine cellar and a selection of spirits are also at your disposal (extra charge, see drinks menu on board).
Once disembarked, you will have the opportunity to explore the streets of the town of Castelsarrasin on foot or by bike and to visit the Firmin Bouisset Museum which traces the career of the famous creator of the "Petit Écolier" of LU biscuits and so many others. other advertising muses of yesteryear. In addition, a visit to the Domaine du Gaziana (a horticultural farm with a superb exotic greenhouse) can be organized.
Day 4 - Castelsarrasin -> Moissac

9:30 to 11:30: Navigation between Castelsarrasin and the Pont Canal Cacor, the third longest canal bridge in France, spanning the Tarn over 356m.
12:00 Meal stopover at Terraces of the Cacor Canal Bridge .
After lunch, end of navigation (about 1h15) and arrival in the Port Canal of Moissac, picturesque port in the city center of this city with a centuries-old boating tradition focused on the wheat and flour trade. Moissac is also a stopover on the Way of Saint James.
In the middle of the afternoon, you will be invited to discover the medieval heart of Moissac and the famous Saint-Pierre abbey with its thousand-year-old cloister. The more athletic can climb the Chemin du Calvaire to reach the Vierge du Calvaire and the sumptuous viewpoint offered over the Tarn valley.
Day 5 - Moissac -> Valence d'Agen / Auvillar

9:30 to 11:30: Navigation between Moissac and Valence d'Agen. This town is famous for its three old wash houses and its market hall.
6km away by bike is Auvillar; one of the most beautiful villages in France established on the banks of the Garonne River. You can discover its crafts, its typical alleys, and eat there.
Day 6 - Valence d'Agen / Agen
Full breakfast.
9:30 to 11:30: Navigation between Valence d'Agen and Agen, the end of our journey. However, this should not prevent you from getting on your bikes to discover the canal bridge, the old town, its cobblestones and half-timbered houses, or the majestic Saint-Caprais Cathedral.
You have several options for returning to the starting point if you have dropped off your vehicle there.
It is also possible to opt for an additional night at the quayside after the cruise (subject to availability).

Cancellation conditions:
Before 120 days before departure and after payment of the deposit: a compensation of 10% of the reservation amount will be retained.
Between 120 and 61 days before departure: the full deposit is retained.
In case of cancellation less than 61 days before departure, or in case of non-boarding, the total amount of the reservation will be due.
